Two Non-Profit Organizations Join Forces to Help Local Edmonton Citizens Gain Access to Technology
EDMONTON, April 16, 2012 /CNW/ - The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) along with the Canadian Paraplegic Association would like to invite you to join us for a special donation event on Wednesday April 18th 2012 at the CPA head office in Edmonton, Alberta. (#305, 11010 101 Street - 11:00am)
ERA will be donating a total of ten fully loaded Duo Core laptops to the Edmonton CPA which were previously donated by a Corporation in Edmonton. If it weren't for the ERA's Community Donation Program, these systems would otherwise have been recycled with no chance at reuse.
This exciting donation will be presented to CPA, and gifted to persons with Spinal Cord Injuries, who are isolated, have limited mobility and limited financial resources. This will be the first step to gain access to technology, and a more connected life.
ERA - www.era.ca
ERA is a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing electronic waste through the reuse and recycling of unwanted computers, laptops and related electronic equipment. Donated items are tested for quality and determined whether to be reused, donated to a local charity or handled for environmentally responsible recycling.
