Media Advisory - First time in Canada - Traditional Japanese Puppet Theatre: Hachioji KurumaNingyo
TORONTO, April 19, 2012 /CNW/ - Tuesday, May 8, Japanese national treasure and over 150-year-old Hachioji KurumaNingyo Puppet theatre will perform at Toronto's Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre.
Master Puppeteer Nishikawa KoryuV will perform parts of four Edo-period stories with Joruri (narration) chanted by rarely seen female Gidayu (chanter), accompanied by Shamisen.
