Media Advisory - Retail Council of Canada President to present on U.S/Canada price differential to Standing Senate Committee on National Finance

OTTAWA, April 23, 2012 /CNW/ - Media are invited to meet with Diane J. Brisebois, President and CEO, Retail Council of Canada (RCC) following her presentation to the Standing Senate Committee on National Finance on Tuesday, April 24.

The Senate Committee commenced its study into the reasons for price discrepancies between Canada and the United States on October 19th, 2011 at the request of Finance Minister Jim Flaherty. Brisebois will provide a detailed assessment of the factors which contribute to the discrepancy and submit RCC's recommendations on behalf of an industry that employs two million Canadians from coast to coast.
