OTTAWA, April 12, 2013 /CNW/ - On Wednesday, 17 April 2013, the Bank of Canada will announce its decision on the target for the overnight rate. A press release will provide a brief explanation of the decision. The Bank will also publish its quarterly Monetary Policy Report (MPR) at the same time as the rate decision.
As previously announced, the Bank of Canada now publishes its quarterly MPR simultaneously with its January, April, July and October rate announcements.

Lock-up: | At 07:00 (ET), journalists are invited to review the rate announcement press release and the MPR, under embargo, at the Bank's head office in Ottawa. |
Note: Lock-ups will no longer be held at the Bank's Montréal and Toronto regional offices, owing to the inclusion of the interest rate announcement. The lock-up will be centralized at the Bank's secure facility in Ottawa. | |
