MONTREAL, April 22, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - L'Abri d'Espoir will be hosting a special benefit evening on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 1 Place Ville Marie (Hall nord) from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Ranee Lee, Canada's diva of jazz vocalists, and The Melissa Pipe Trio will perform some jazz classics. L'Abri is honored to have Sylvie Rodrigue, partner at Torys Law Firm L.L.P., as the honorary chair and Kelly Alexander as the benefit's emcee.
The event will raise funds and awareness for L'Abri d'espoir, the Montreal women's shelter operated by The Salvation Army, an international non-profit organization.
"We are very excited about this event, which will be a fun evening in support of a serious cause" says Major Anne Venables, Salvation Army spokesperson. "Homeless women are very vulnerable and desperately need the safety and dignity which L'Abri d'espoir provides.
