UNICEF CANADA MEDIA ADVISORY: Halifax's "Chefs for UNICEF Gala"
Nova Scotia's finest chefs are coming together to raise a record-breaking $400,000 in support of UNICEF's life-changing work
HALIFAX, NS, April 22, 2025 /CNW/ - UNICEF Canada invites members of the media to attend the 33rd edition of its iconic "Chefs for UNICEF Gala" at the Halifax Convention Centre on April 24, 2025.
This annual event will feature an evening of exceptional cuisine in support of UNICEF's ground-breaking programs for children across the globe. Ten of Nova Scotia's top chefs will lend their creative and culinary talents to make the 33rd edition a night to remember.
Special guests include:
- Big names from the Nova Scotia food scene such as Adam Bower (Grand Banker Bar & Grill/The Old Fish Factory & Ice House Bar), Geir Simensen (Legendary Hospitality), and the Gahan House team;
- Global News Halifax anchor Paul Brothers, emcee for the event;
- UNICEF Canada President and CEO Sevaun Palvetzian, who will deliver an inspiring keynote address on how UNICEF has been an unstoppable positive force for millions of children worldwide and how it continues to support those facing challenges, crises and conflicts today.
In addition to a one-of-a-kind dining experience, more than 100 exceptional auction items will be up for grabs, including unique experiences and works of art donated by generous individuals and businesses in support of UNICEF.
