Before you head out on your family road trip ensure you service your vehicle. "It's wise to make sure your car is in good shape before you hit the open road," said Silvana Aceto, Media and PR Specialist, CAA SCO. "Remember to carry a fully charged cell phone in case of an emergency. CAA offers 24-hour roadside assistance no matter where you are travelling in North America."

When packing your car make sure you can see out of all your windows and on long road trips, be sure to take breaks from driving.
