SELECT COMMITTEE ON MENTAL HEALTH AND ADDICTIONS TO RELEASE FINAL REPORT
TORONTO, Aug. 24 /CNW/ - The Select Committee on Mental Health and Addictions of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario will release its final report entitled "Navigating the Journey to Wellness: The Comprehensive Mental Health and Addictions Action Plan for Ontarians". The report will be released on Thursday, August 26, 2010.
A press conference will be held in the Media Studio of the Main Legislative Building at Queen's Park on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Members of the Select Committee will be available to answer questions regarding the report and the Committee's work.
The members of the Committee are: Kevin Flynn, Chair (LIB), Christine Elliot, Vice-Chair (PC), Bas Balkissoon (LIB), France Gélinas (NDP), Helena Jaczek (LIB), Sylvia Jones (PC), Jeff Leal (LIB), Liz Sandals (LIB), and Maria Van Bommel (LIB).
Also in attendance will be Catherine Pringle, Elizabeth Manley and possibly George Chuvalo.
The Select Committee, an all-party committee, was struck on February 24, 2009 with a mandate to consider and report its observations and recommendations with respect to a comprehensive Ontario mental health and addictions strategy.
Copies of the report will be available at the press conference and an electronic copy will be posted on the web site of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario at www.ontla.on.ca at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 26, 2010.
