Montreal Will Have Its Military Culture Festival!

MONTREAL, Aug. 9, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - The Montreal Military Culture Festival will take place at the Old Port over the Labour Day long weekend, August 31^st to September 3^rd, 2012.

« We are proud to compare Montreal with the big cities of the world where military cultural festivals are held. Montrealers deserve an event of this nature, in their image, which will demystify an important part of the urban landscape and the development of the city. » says Festival Director Sylvain Deschênes.

Throughout these four days of free, fun-filled activities for the whole family, the public is invited to take part in two new exhibitions in Hangar 16: The Great Military Montrealers from 1812-2012 and The War on Posters. Outdoors, festival goers will be treated to a myriad of activities, from a SkyHawks performance, the Canadian Forces parachute team, to outdoor concerts, historical re-enactments and a number of other activities.
