Guest Speaker: Zach Paikin "The Time is Now for Young Leadership in Politics"
Zach is a featured columnist for various national and international media outlets, is a regular guest on Toronto's Newstalk 1010 and is an editor at Fair Observer, an international multimedia journal. Zach has spent time advocating and raising funds for global victims of genocide.
A $100,000 award will be presented to "The Rotary Club of Toronto Centre for Youth Empowerment: Job Camp", a program initiative of Youth Employment Services YES. YES believes that employment is empowerment, and the cornerstone of safe and healthy communities. YES leads the Canadian youth sector with innovative programs that empower disadvantaged and vulnerable youth to become self-sufficient contributing members of society.
The Rotary Club of Toronto is the local chapter of Rotary International, a volunteer-driven organization of business and professional leaders dedicated to improving communities through a range of humanitarian, intercultural and educational activities. The Toronto Rotary Club is one of the largest clubs in Canada and this year celebrates 100 years of service to the community.
