Media Advisory - New Report Shows Ontario is Falling Behind
BRAMPTON, ON, Aug. 28, 2012 /CNW/ - A cross-Ontario coalition concerned with growing inequality is releasing an unprecedented new report that shows that Ontario is leading Canada in poverty increases and dead last in social program spending. The report, to be released tomorrow (Wednesday August 29) by the Ontario Common Front, tracks Ontario's standing on poverty, income inequality, out-of-pocket costs for social programs, wait lists for community services and other measures.
Brampton-Mississauga and District Labour Council, with other Peel organizations, will provide information and commentary on local impacts of Ontario's growing income inequality.
