MONTREAL, Aug. 6, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Alfalibra and curator Frédéric Fontan present the Canadian premiere exhibition of photographer Tiery B. and his book Narmada at the Sainte-Brigide de Kildare Church from August 9 to 18, 2013.
Tiery B. is an observer of his own privacy. His multi-faceted work touches on writing, video, and photography, and is continuously evolving between abstract and figurative art through pensive images.
The 30 photographs exhibited of the church nave, reveal a glimpse of the existential inventory of the artist, creating a constant interplay between carnal portrait and close-up, transforming the object and its material into an abstract element. The graphics and contrasts are always striking, yet without brutality and ornament. The technique is simple showing a consistent awareness for light and composition.
Photos and books will be on sale during the exhibit.
