Group Varitron Technologies invests $1.5 million to automate its Varitech
plant in Granby
MONTREAL, Dec. 7 /CNW Telbec/ - Group Varitron Technologies, a leading electronics assembly company, is proud to announce an investment totalling $1.5 million to accelerate automation of equipment at its Varitech plant in Granby, Québec. The necessary funding was secured thanks to Investissement Québec and Canada Economic Development, which have contributed $1,167,500 and $332,500 respectively.
In recent years, Varitron has invested a great deal of energy in research and development with an eye to perfecting new processes for the production of smart networks enabling remote reading and management of electricity meters. These efforts have borne fruit, and Varitron is now well positioned to compete internationally and to expand production capacity thanks to equipment that is technologically cutting-edge.
Through a strategic partnership with Trilliant, a Canadian company that is also established in Granby and is a leading provider and installer of energy management systems, Varitron has been able to develop enviable expertise in the field of green energy.
