in to Win' promotion

Media are invited to join Mr. Lube in presenting a Vintage 1967 Mustang

VANCOUVER, Dec. 15 /CNW/ - Some would say it is a vintage car-lover's dream. As part of an annual promotion, a winner has now been named for Mr. Lube Canada's 'Wheel in to Win' promotion - just in time for Christmas. Media representatives are invited to join the country's leading quick lube provider to present the prize on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Barrhaven Town Centre in Ottawa, Ontario.

The contest took place across the country and Keith Mulligan has been selected as the winner of the vintage car, made famous in Hollywood movies like Steve McQueen's, Bullitt. Keith is a regular Mr. Lube customer and resides just outside of Barrhaven, Ontario. 

"I'm excited and shocked to hear that I've won," said Keith, a married father-of-one who describes himself as a 'car-guy'.  "I am also proud to be the envy of my soon-to-be son-in-law who is currently restoring his own 1969 Mustang."

The annual promotion consisted of a Scratch n' Win ticket which revealed instant prizes and savings. To enter the grand prize, customers needed to visit the custom contest micro-site. Each customer also had the chance to send an email to their friends and family, inviting them to go to Mr. Lube play. The country-wide promotion was supported by a national, multi-channel advertising campaign.

The car giveaway will be held Thursday, December 16, 2010 at 2pm, 3767 Strandherd Drive, Barrhaven Town Centre.  Local media is invited to attend.
