Mexx Introduces New Kids' Gift Boxes and Helps Finance the Building of
Schools in Haiti
MONTREAL, Dec. 20 /CNW Telbec/ - For the holiday season, Mexx has partnered with the Fondation Paul Gérin-Lajoie (www.fondationpgl.ca) and will donate all net profits from the sale of its new Mexx Kids' gift boxes to provide help to a devastated Haiti.
With the catastrophic events that recently took place in that country, the decision to work with the Fondation Paul Gérin-Lajoie and to provide help for a nation struggling to survive was one that the fashion retailer did not have to think about twice. The foundation's mission to "contribute to basic education in some of the poorest countries of the world" as well as "introduce children in elementary schools in Canada to international realities" was one that Mexx (www.Mexx.ca) took to immediately.
So when the time came to create a holiday window campaign around its newly redesigned Kids' gift boxes, the fashion retailer saw an opportunity to make a difference and decided to go in a socially-responsible direction. Thus, the In this Box is a Child's Future campaign was born.
Net profits from the sale of these beautiful boxes, which can be bought at any Mexx store ($2.50 for the small box and $2.75 for the large), will be donated to the foundation and go towards the financing and building of new schools in Haiti for over 3000 deserving children.
Mexx is confident that its Kids' holiday campaign will be a successful one and that much needed funds will be raised for the foundation. To date, customer feedback has been very positive and gift box sales are surpassing expectations.
