Rogers Radio Adds Aboriginal Content to its Programming Lineup

TORONTO , Jan. 15 /CNW/ - Rogers Radio has signed Jennifer Ashawasegai, Anishinabek Nation citizen, to produce a weekly one-hour Aboriginal news magazine radio program. The program, Bamoseda, will feature national Aboriginal news, current affairs, community and culture features, as well as spotlights on entertainment. Bamoseda translates to "walking together" in the Anishinabe language.

Bamoseda will be aired on eight Rogers stations and streamed on the websites of these Rogers stations plus seven others. A weekly synopsis of the program will be included on each of the individual websites, plus Ashawasegai's program website www.bamoseda.com.

Bamoseda will air on the following Rogers Radio stations: The River Lethbridge (CFRV-FM), Mountain FM Canmore (CHMN-FM), Mountain FM Squamish (CISQ-FM), Country 107.1 Abbotsford (CKQC-FM), World FM Edmonton (CKER-FM), The Kat North Bay (CKAT-AM), EZ Rock Timmins (CKGB-FM) and Oldies 1310 Ottawa (CIWW-AM). Bamoseda will also be available on these stations' websites and on Rogers' news radio websites including: News 1130 Vancouver (CKWX-AM), 680 News Toronto (CFTR-AM), 660 News Calgary (CFFR-AM), 570 News Kitchener (CKGL-AM), News 88.9 Saint John (CHNI-FM), News 95.7 Halifax (CJNI-FM) and News 91.9 Moncton.
