Although the Canadian genome centres have interests in many areas such as human health genomics, the event focused on plants and animals to correspond with the interests of the conference delegates. Projects ranged from fisheries, aquaculture and agriculture, to forestry, biofuels and bioproducts, and the environment and metagenomics.
