Introducing the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada
This is the biggest change in the Association's history. In addition to chemical manufacturing, the sector now produces bio-based compounds, new technologies, and "green" chemistry solutions. The Association has expanded its membership to include new players committed to the Responsible Care(R) ethic and principles.
"Companies are innovating, thinking about conservation issues, energy efficiency, and preventative action in dealing with their chemicals and products."
Paton hopes the Association's new website www.canadianchemistry.ca will engage members, elected officials, the public and the media in the Association's work around competitiveness, health, safety and the environment, and expects it will foster a new recognition of the Canadian chemistry industry's key role in finding solutions to the world's toughest problems.
