Recognition Event to feature New Cloud II Exhibit
ORILLIA, ON, Jan. 18, 2012 /CNW/ - The OPP Museum is hosting a special recognition ceremony to pay tribute to Cloud II, the first Ontario Provincial Police dog to give his life in the line of duty. A new Cloud II exhibit will be showcased as the event recognizes the contributions made by this heroic canine, his former handler Retired Staff Sergeant Ray Carson as well as those of current OPP Canine Unit handler and dog teams.
Members of the media are invited to join OPP officials, local dignitaries, special guests, members of the OPP Canine Unit and Friends of The OPP Museum to take part in preserving the memory of an exceptional dog who, along with his handler exemplifies the dedication of the OPP's canine operations today.
