Canadian Financial Authors Offer Practical Solutions to Financial Crisis
Just in time for tax and RRSP season, Knowledge Bureau unveils three important new books to help worried and weary investors get back on track.
WINNIPEG, Jan. 30, 2012 /CNW/ - Despite the times, it's possible to pro-actively protect and grow family wealth for a solid retirement and get your financial house in order, according to Canadian financial education publisher Knowledge Bureau, which is launching its 2012 financial publishing program February 7 in Toronto and February 9 in Winnipeg, with three new books and presentations from its leading financial authors.
"We are excited to provide solid solutions for Canadians who want to know how to get out of debt, understand economic news, and save with confidence for their futures by making better decisions with their tax and financial advisors," says best-selling author Evelyn Jacks, President and CEO of Knowledge Bureau.
The new financial books are entitled:
- Financial Recovery in a Fragile World by Al Emid, Robert Ironside and Evelyn Jacks
- Essential Tax Facts 2012 Edition by Evelyn Jacks
- Master Your Retirement 2012 Edition by Douglas V. Nelson
A fourth book in the series, The Smart Savvy Young Consumer, by Pat Foran was released in October and has become a Canadian best-seller.
"We are on the road to financial recovery, even if it is a long and bumpy one," says Robert Ironside, co-author of Financial Recovery in a Fragile World. "There is reason for cautious optimism and in this book, we will explain why."
"The goal," says co-author Al Emid, "is to help readers navigate towards financial stability in this new environment."
Further, there is important news for boomers, with big changes under the CPP, one of the main reasons for the update of Master Your Retirement. "The good news is that there are many things you can control with certainty to build your retirement portfolio and significantly enhance the returns on your investments," says author Douglas Nelson.
"The tax return is the most significant transaction of the year for millions of Canadians in reducing debt and building wealth," adds Mrs. Jacks, who this year has updated and rewritten Essential Tax Facts to link economic events to family tax savings opportunities to consider during tax filing season. "More than ever before, protecting both your income and your capital from tax erosion, counts."
