TORONTO, Jan. 16, 2013 /CNW/ - A national conference organized by The Sandbox Project will bring together leading experts and advocates in child and youth health from across Canada on Thursday, January 17th in Toronto.
The conference comes as The Sandbox Project prepares to launch a new Young Canadians Round Table on Health, which will use comprehensive research, education and awareness to help The Sandbox Project achieve its goal of making Canada the healthiest place in the world for young people to grow up.
Keynote speakers at the conference include Hon. Lisa Raitt, Minister of Labour; Hon. Laurel Broten, Ontario Minister of Education, Children and Youth Services; and Dr. Kellie Leitch, MP for Simcoe-Grey, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development and the Minister of Labour, pediatric orthopedic surgeon and founder of the charity.
