Media Alert - CMA launches New National Dialogue on Health Care Seeks views on social factors behind ill health
OTTAWA, Jan. 31, 2013 /CNW/ - The Canadian Medical Association (CMA) is seeking Canadians' views on the social determinants of health - the external factors that cause people to suffer poor health. On Monday, Feb. 4, CMA president Dr. Anna Reid will announce a cross-country series of public town halls on the topic as part of the association's ongoing effort to transform Canada's health care system. That evening, the National Dialogue will begin with a public town hall meeting in Winnipeg focusing on Aboriginal health care.
