Patrol" to drive home eye protection at RBC Canadian Open
TORONTO, July 19 /CNW/ - Spectators at this year's RBC Canadian Open need to do more than keep their eye on the ball - or they could face an eye health Sight-Ation from Healthy Sight Officer, Erik Estrada.
The former CHiP's star is back on patrol with Transitions Optical, the official eyewear of the PGA TOUR(R) and proud sponsor of the RBC Canadian Open, to promote the importance of proper eyewear and maintaining eye health. The awareness program aims to educate the public on the long-term damage UV rays can cause to the eyes, including cataracts and macular degeneration. An estimated one million of Canadians have some form of macular degeneration.(1)
