After the success of the Trans Eurasian Continent Tour, he continues to be actively involved in the Bone and Joint Decade world campaign and succeeded in two more expeditions, traversing Africa in 2008 and Australia in 2009 as a good will ambassador of BJD.
ABOUT THE BONE AND JOINT DECADE
In October 2002, the Honourable Anne McLellan, Federal Minister of Health, proclaimed Canada's official support of the Bone and Joint Decade. The National Action Network of the Bone and Joint Decade in Canada was established that same year and has worked hard to advance awareness of musculoskeletal health in Canada. The Network has also has a tremendous impact on addressing access to Hip and Knee Replacement Surgery.
The goal of the Bone and Joint Decade Canada is to promote the preservation of bone and joint health across the lifespan and to improve the health-related quality of life for people with musculoskeletal disorders.
