TORONTO, July 11, 2012 /CNW/ - Twelve Westlake original songs complete the very personal Hope, Fate & Thunder documentary that has its debut at the Projection Booth Theatre in Toronto (1035 Gerrard Street East) this Thursday at 7:30 PM. Lead guitarist and cancer survivor, Louie Bettio, who is also in the documentary, rode his bike across Canada in support of Women's Cancer research serendipitously supported this movie before he was even diagnosed.
"This is a cause that is very close to all of us" said Bettio who created the film production company, Nightshades Studios in Toronto to produce the movie. "While travelling across Canada during 10 grueling days on our motorcycles, we quickly realized that we all share a special connection created by our Flag & patriotism… and by this disease called 'Cancer."
Bettio was diagnosed with testicular cancer shortly after shooting of the film completed and had to suspend final production while battling the disease. "It's serendipity at its best" he said. "I wanted to produce a movie to increase awareness and generate monies for Cancer Research and found myself afflicted with the disease. The documentary has recently been endorsed by The Weekend To End All Women's Cancers charity and this fund raising event will have all its proceeds benefiting that charity.
Please join us for this special celebration to view Hope, Fate & Thunder and meet the person whose passion for music and art is only surpassed by his philanthropy.
