TORONTO, July 25, 2012 /CNW/ - OPC representatives will meet the press to present this new, non-traditional Federal political party. Michael Nicula, Party Leader, will answer questions regarding our platform, governing principles, accountability act, website functionality, and vote counting.
We will also present the 'Agora' project: we post daily Parliamentary Bills on the website so the users can comment and vote directly - first step towards participative democracy - then 'Tell their MP'!
Finally we will update media on Garrett's 'Bike ride for democracy' - his next stops in Alberta.

OPC's mission is to create a viable alternative to the traditional political system, using internet technology. Online Voting, Participative Democracy, Competence, Transparency and Accountability - just a snapshot of what OPC offers the Canadian electorate. We believe voters should vote individual issues instead of 'packaged' platforms, true leaders instead of 'voting machine' politicians, policies instead of parties. The political process must be freed of money and interest groups influence, and the voters should be truly represented by their MPs.
Come to this event and ask us how will we make it all happen?
