Casino fundraiser to benefit important Sydney charities
SYDNEY, NS, June 1 /CNW/ - Casino Nova Scotia Sydney is proud to announce that the second annual Casino Roy-Isle Fundraiser will take place on Saturday, June 5, 2010. The event is held in support of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation and Rotary Club of Sydney Charities.
"Casino Nova Scotia is a wonderful partner and supporter of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation. By participating in our event, working as volunteers, or raising money in their own unique way they demonstrate their commitment to the Regional Hospital and the patients who rely on it for care. We are so grateful for all that they do," said Barbara Stead-Coyle, Regional Hospital Foundation CEO.
The Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation is an integral part of the health care community in Cape Breton ensuring that critical equipment and services are available. Since 1993, the Foundation has raised more than $15 million.
This year's Casino Roy-Isle fundraiser will include a Bond-inspired evening with international gourmet food stations, Monte Carlo blackjack, live entertainment and hundreds of dollars in auction items. "On behalf of this year's organizing committee, I would like to encourage all to support these local charities," says Fletcher Hunston, Casino Roy-Isle Committee Chair.
The Rotary Club of Sydney is dedicated to service in the community. Rotarians develop community service projects that address many of today's critical issues such as children at risk, poverty, hunger, the environment, illiteracy and violence.
Last year's event was attended by more than 200 people and helped raise over $12,000 in support of these important causes.
