LOTTO MAX Rolls to $50 Million For Third Time Since Launch
An Estimated Five MAXMILLIONS Up for Grabs
TORONTO, June 3 /CNW/ - For only the third time since LOTTO MAX launched in September 2009, the jackpot has reached $50 million for the June 4, 2010 draw and the game is now into MAXMILLIONS mode, offering Canadians an estimated five additional $1 million prizes in Friday night's draw.
MAXMILLIONS are additional $1 million prizes added to the game when the jackpot reaches $50 million. MAXMILLIONS prizes are drawn separately from the LOTTO MAX jackpot draw, which means that a LOTTO MAX ticket not only gives players a chance at $50 million but also the chance to win any of the $1 million MAXMILLIONS draws on the same date.
"LOTTO MAX is a special game, because it offers Canadians more than just a big jackpot prize. This Friday evening, players can experience the excitement of checking their tickets for winning numbers for both the big jackpot and the additional $1 million-dollar prizes!" said Wendy Montgomery. "There could be several new millionaires in Ontario come Saturday morning."
Since the game launched in September 2009, there have been ten MAXMILLIONS winners in total, two of them from Ontario.
If no-one wins Friday night's $50 million jackpot draw, the jackpot will stay at $50 million for the next draw. Any MAXMILLIONS that are not won will carry forward as additional MAXMILLIONS prizes. However, if the $50 million jackpot is won, any MAXMILLIONS that are not won will be added onto the next jackpot, which resets to $10 million.
