China

Broadening Customer Base and Geographical Reach Creates Need for Local Talent

TORONTO, June 15 /CNW/ - ViXS Systems Inc., a leading provider of smart network multimedia processor solutions that enable a rich video entertainment experience, announced today that it has appointed Meng Xiao as country manager for China to support its continued growth in the important Asian market.

An engineer, with a Master's Degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Mr. Xiao has over 15 years experience with a strong track record of success. Combining his technology expertise, sales & marketing experience, and general management training in the digital TV, flat panel display and 3D graphics markets, Mr. Xiao has effectively built strong sales and infrastructure in China. His most recent appointment was acting as Director of Business Marketing, TV & Monitor Division, HED Group for ST Microelectronics, where he led strategic account development for Dell, HP, Lenovo and others.

Prior to ST Microelectronics, Mr. Xiao was General Manager and Sales Director for Genesis Microchip in China where he managed a staff of 45, and grew Genesis' business in China dramatically over his five year tenure.
