TORONTO, June 28 /CNW/ - YANGAROO Inc. ("YANGAROO" or the "Company") (TSX-V: YOO, OTC: YOOIF), the industry's leading secure digital media distribution company, announced that its Digital Media Distribution System (DMDS) has delivered the following authorized music videos for major Canadian record labels by top name recording artists, including Beyoncé, Adam Lambert, Katy Perry, Shakira, Sarah McLachlan, Drake, Bruce Springsteen, Barenaked Ladies, Avril Lavigne, AC/DC, Christina Aguilera, John Mayer, Charlotte Gainsbourg feat. Beck, and others. These videos were delivered to broadcasters that include MuchMusic, MTV Canada, Musique Plus, etalk, Entertainment Tonight Canada, Sun TV, AUX TV, and many others.
"We used DMDS to deliver the Katy Perry, Kylie Minogue, Barenaked Ladies videos and others, and could not be happier with the results," said Rob Chubey, VP National Promotion EMI Records Canada. "DMDS gets the video to air much quicker, plus we're saving money - which is always a good thing."
"Better, Faster, Greener, is our motto, and we are proving every day that we can execute on that promise." said YANGAROO CEO, Scott Wambolt. "Clearly our fast, secure, environmentally friendly and less expensive digital SD/HD video delivery solution is equally attractive to broadcasters and content owners. This activity provides new revenue for the company, and this early traction promises to open up new accounts and vertical markets for us."
YANGAROO'S technology team has worked closely with the engineers at CTV and other television broadcasters to refine the DMDS process for digitally distributing SD and HD television broadcast-quality video to integrate with and enhance their workflows. DMDS also transcodes the television broadcast file for online availability for streaming and provision of a frame-accurate preview quality version of the file with the time-code burned in, which improves reviewing and editing processes. The television broadcast-quality video file can be easily integrated into Online Editing Suites, On-Air Playback Servers and stored in a Digital Archive Server.
