Media Advisory/Photo Opportunity - RBC makes a splash in downtown Toronto
10,000 employees in city's downtown core celebrate freshwater for RBC Blue Water Day
TORONTO, June 7, 2012 /CNW/ - With only two weeks to the official start of summer, RBC is encouraging employees and Canadians to think about why water matters through RBC Blue Water Day. To celebrate, chalk artists will decorate the streets in front of RBC buildings in Toronto's downtown core featuring colourful murals of Canada's most valuable natural resource: freshwater.
RBC Blue Water Project grant recipients Lake Ontario Waterkeeper, Free The Children and Toronto Region Conservation Authority will also be on-hand to celebrate with RBC employees, who will be decked out in blue, from noon to 2 p.m.
To help celebrate RBC Blue Water Day, Canadians can also show they care about water by going to the RBC Blue Water Facebook page (facebook.com/rbcbluewaterproject/app_309036319173800) and RBC will donate funds to one of five water-related charities.
