In Québec, the kitchen is the central room of the house. It is the most popular place for get-togethers, conversations and even parties, hence the well-known expression "kitchen party"! The exhibition Craving for Design, Kitchen Design from the 18th Century to Tomorrow is the first temporary exhibition since the museum reopened this past August. It explores the origin and evolution of domestic kitchens in North America and will be held from June 14, 2012, to April 14, 2013.
There will be a guided tour immediately following the speeches.
Photographs of the exhibits will also be available.
