CALGARY, June 20, 2013 /CNW/ - Vancouver Island media are invited to join WestJet guests and invited dignitaries on Monday, June 24, 2013, as WestJet Encore launches flights between Calgary and Nanaimo, and Victoria and Vancouver. Details on events in both Nanaimo and Victoria are included in this advisory to assist you in your planning.
Please watch for media advisories from your local airports regarding more details as well as any RSVP requirements that may be required to obtain clearance to go airside, if needed, to cover all of Monday's events at these airports. If RSVPs are required, please work directly with your local airport authorities.

- Aircraft arrives at 7:50 p.m. (b-roll/photo opportunity)
- Brief speeches by WestJet Encore president Ferio Pugliese and Victoria Airport Authority CEO Geoff Dickson in Eagles Landing Observation Lounge at 8:20 p.m., followed by opportunity for interviews.
- Reception ends at 9 p.m.
- FYI -- Aircraft will overnight in Victoria and depart for Vancouver at 7:15 a.m. Tuesday, June 25.
