Canadian icon Steve Nash graces cover of Harry Magazine for spring 2010
TORONTO, March 17 /CNW/ - Harry Magazine, the award-winning publication by Harry Rosen Inc., will feature one of Canada's top all-time athletes, Steve Nash - Phoenix Suns point guard and a two-time NBA Most Valuable Player - on its cover and in a six-page feature and photo spread in the Spring 2010 issue, being mailed today.
"We couldn't be happier to feature a Canadian of Steve Nash's stature on our cover," states Larry Rosen, CEO and Chairman of Harry Rosen Inc. "In addition to his unparalleled talent on the basketball court, Steve is an inspiration off the court as well. From his charitable endeavours to his burgeoning career as a film maker, Steve approaches everything he does with determination, drive and grace - we are proud to be associated with him."
In addition to being included in Harry Magazine, Steve will also appear in the iconic Harry Rosen ad campaign this season. Harry Rosen's advertisements regularly feature high-profile leaders in various fields of business, entertainment and sports. Mr. Nash's ad marks the second instalment of Spring 2010 and will appear in major market daily newspapers the week of March 30th. In the ad, he wears HUGO BOSS. In exchange for his appearance in the ad and magazine, a donation was made to the Steve Nash Foundation.
"It was fun for me to be featured in a leading menswear magazine like Harry," stated Steve Nash from his home in Phoenix. "As a proud Canadian I'm always looking for ways to support Canadian businesses. And in terms of style and fashion, it's an honour to be included in the Harry Rosen team."
The feature on Steve Nash paints a portrait of a true Canadian superstar - down-to-earth, generous, driven. With impressive sports accomplishments like being named an NBA All-Star six times and two Lionel Conacher Awards for being Canada's Male Athlete of the Year - Steve credits his success to ambition and hard work. He applies that same work ethic to other pursuits, including the highly anticipated film he produced about his idol, Terry Fox, which will debut later this year.
Harry Magazine, which usually features models on the cover, has only used a non-model one other time since its inception in 1997: in 2004 to mark the occasion of its 50th anniversary, by featuring Mr. Harry Rosen himself in a special edition.
The Spring 2010 issue of Harry also features two other updated sections for readers. Back by popular demand, we are pleased to introduce our newly enhanced City Guides. Previously an online feature, the City Guides focus on important topics like where to take a client for lunch in Canada's largest markets. Men of Style is a new feature that showcases a variety of stylish Canadian men across the country - this issue includes Robert Herjavec, Gregg Keating and David Sidoo.
Harry Magazine is published twice a year and is mailed to Harry Rosen clients as well as being available for sale on newsstands at Chapters and Indigo nationwide. An online version of the magazine can be found at www.harrymagazine.ca.
