Tim and his team have supported participatory community and stakeholder engagement in Nova Scotia and all over the world. Recent local work included the successful public consultations for the Halifax Central Library. He will present on:

• Joyfully overcome seemingly impossible challenges
• Authentically (re)connect institutions, organizations and decision makers to those they wish  to serve and influence

Graphic Recording: Susan J. MacLeod, Senior Strategy Advisor, Capital Health
Susan used graphic recording at community engagement sessions in the health care industry. The rise of information visualisation across the media and in business, born out of a fatigue of PowerPoint and the need to communicate clearly in a time-starved digital world, has led to growing demand for her skills. She will guide you on: 

• How you can increase audience participation and engagement.
• Encourage big thinking and listening in your meetings with drawings
• How to do it yourself, no need for artistry, to break free from flipcharts and learn to think more visually

Social Media Reality Check 2.0: Carolyn McGill, President and CEO, CNW Group
Carolyn's career included specializing in syndicated research for the Canadian capital markets and more than a decade in project management at Bank of Montreal and Canada Trust. She will share:

• Insights into social media usage
• Views and habits of Canadian consumers and public relations professionals
• Painting a more complete picture of the modern social media landscape
