Former Suncor Energy CEO to present at Consulate General of Canada Luncheon in New York
Rick George discusses the future of the energy industry and its impact on North American energy security
NEW YORK, March 18, 2013 /CNW/ - On March 20, 2013, Rick George, former President and Chief Executive Officer of Suncor Energy and author of Sun Rise: Suncor, The Oil Sands and The Future of Energy, will share his perspective on the trajectory for the energy industry and the importance of the sustainable expansion of Alberta's oil sands.
During the upcoming luncheon, hosted by The Consulate General of Canada and the Manhattan Institute, Rick George will engage in a discussion with Manhattan Institute Senior Fellow, Mark Mills. As one of Canada's most transformative business figures, Mr. George will share the knowledge and insight he gained from twenty years at the helm of Suncor Energy. He will also address the importance of the energy industry on the security and economic development of North America.
