WellPoint Systems improves Marketing, Services with new appointments
Andrew Bird and Alan Hopp to provide Seasoned Marketing and Professional Services expertise
CALGARY, May 12 /CNW/ - WellPoint Systems Inc., (TSX-V:WPS), provider of software and solutions designed to transform complex data into actionable business insight for oil and gas industry executives, announced this week the appointment of Andrew Bird as senior vice president of marketing and Alan Hopp as vice president of professional services.
Bird will accelerate the company's global marketing strategy, expanding WellPoint's upstream and midstream solutions and its Asset Maintenance applications to a broader range of asset intensive industries.
Hopp will help build WellPoint's services division as it expands domestically and internationally. He brings more than 20 years of experience driving the growth of professional services and systems integration companies.

Prior to joining WellPoint, Bird propelled Configuresoft, the Compliance and Configuration Management specialists, to industry leadership as vice president of marketing there. Bird also served as executive vice president of marketing at Precise, helping to establish the company as the leading Application Performance Management ISV. His 25-year career includes international executive management roles at BMC Software and BGS Systems.

Prior to ePartners, Hopp was the founder and president of HRH Group, a consulting and system integration company focused on oil and gas clients around the world.
