TSXV: RBX
QUEBEC, May 13 /CNW Telbec/ - Robex Resources inc. (TSX-V: RBX / FWB: RB4) is pleased to announce that reverse circulation (RC) drilling is now underway on Wili-Wili, a very promising and high priority Robex permit, based on previous results and favourable geographic positioning. This drilling campaign consists in the implantation of close proximity drilling in order to start defining resources according to a forage plan designed by the company's geologists. The significant gold-bearing potential of this property was confirmed during initial drilling executed on the permit, intersecting a length of 22 m at 4.2 g/t Au among others in the Fandou zone (see June 13th 2007 Press Release). Work is currently concentrated in this zone and within a new and promising zone targeted by the geologists and called Hamdallaye, where approximately 8 000 to 10 000 diggers had been very active until now. Approximately 3 000 meters of drilling are foreseen in each of these two zones. This drilling will be done with the help of the new RC drill acquired a few weeks ago by Robex (see April 7th 2010 Press Release).
It is the work performed in 2006 and 2007 on the Wili-Wili permit that made it possible for Robex to identify the Fandou zone, an auriferous anomaly measuring 2.8 km x 600 m. In the center of this anomaly, well samples revealed high concentrations of gold and an East-West trench revealed 13 meters at 2.29 g/t, where 5 wells revealed values from 3 to 12 g/t Au at over 9 meters of depth (see January 9th 2007 Press Release). Including a 22 m length at 4.2 g/t in reverse circulation drilling, all the holes on the Fandou zone intersected mineralized intervals, thus confirming the property's significant gold-bearing potential.
Robex's social mission ----------------------
Keeping its commitment to perform one social mission per year in Mali, Robex has constructed a new 40 km road near Wili-Wili. This makes Dabia, an important village in this area, much more accessible to the inhabitants of Wili-Wili. Last year, Robex cleaned up a football field in the Badalabougou neighbourhood of Commune 5 in Bamako in order to give the local youths a more sanitary playing field. The Commune's appointed Mayor, Mr. Mahamane Abdoulaye Touré, as well as the Badalabougou Youth Committee were very grateful for this initiative.
