A New Artistic Gateway to the John Street "Cultural Corridor"
TORONTO, May 2, 2012 /CNW/ - Toronto's "Cultural Corridor" will be home to an extraordinary sculpture by Canadian Artist James Carl - a visionary sculptor whose pieces are sought after for public and private collections in Canada, the USA, Europe and China including the National Gallery of Canada and the Art Gallery of Ontario.
This substantial sculpture (weighing a total of 1400 lbs.) has been commissioned through the City of Toronto's Public Art Program for Festival Tower and is set to become a landmark in Toronto's exciting Entertainment District. The sculpture titled 'Thing's end' will be unveiled by Toronto Councillor Adam Vaughan, Artist James Carl and The King & John Festival Corporation.
