TORONTO, May 7, 2012 /CNW/ - Many organizations talk about building leadership capacity, but few have invested adequately in developing their leaders of tomorrow.

At the Leadership Matters 2012: Building Leadership Capacity event, hosted by The Conference Board of Canada, attendees will hear insights from top leaders and learn about the latest research.

When:	Tuesday, May 8, 2012 to Wednesday, May 9, 2012.
Who:	Culture-Based Leadership  Arkadi Kuhlmann, Founder of ING DIRECT USA, will present his insights about leadership and what helped him as a leader. 1:00 p.m. Tuesday
	Building Leadership Capacity at GE Elyse Allan, President and Chief Executive Officer of GE Canada, will offer her philosophy on learning and development and what companies can do to include talented women in leadership roles. 2:30 p.m. Tuesday
	Special Panel Presentation—Voices of Experience: Women Leaders Speak out. Amanda Lang, Senior Business Correspondent, CBC News and Co-Host, The Lang & O'Leary Exchange, moderates a panel of high-powered women who will discuss their ideas on what's worked for them, what hasn't and what still needs to be done in leadership. Panelists: The Honorable Eva Aariak, Premier of the Government of Nunavut Bonnie Brooks, President and Chief Executive Officer, The Bay Elaine Campbell, President and Chief Executive Office, AstraZeneca Canada Inc. Dianne C. Craig, President and Chief Executive Officer, Ford Motor Company of Canada, Limited. 10:15 a.m. Wednesday. Diversity, Where for Art Thou? Anne Golden, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Conference Board of Canada will present preliminary results of Conference Board research on the advancement - both barriers and enablers - of women to leadership positions. Christina M. Silva, Senior Director of Research at Catalyst, will provide an overview of Catalyst's research on the lack of women in leadership roles. 8:45 a.m. Wednesday
