Media Advisory/Photo Opportunity - RBC "Tees Off" for local charity partner for 2012 RBC Canadian Open

HAMILTON, ON, May 7, 2012 /CNW/ - As part of the RBC Canadian Open's ongoing philanthropic commitment, Golf Canada and RBC will announce the official local charity beneficiary for Canada's National Open Championship, set for July 23-29 at Hamilton Golf and Country Club.

Dave McKay, Group Head of Canadian Banking for RBC Royal Bank will be in Hamilton to make the announcement, together with local executives, Golf Canada officials, and the selected charity partner officers. The charity partner will receive a $250,000 donation from the RBC Foundation which will kick-off a fundraising and awareness campaign leading up to the tournament.
