Media advisory - Georges Laraque to visit Grace Children's Hospital In Haiti to view the progress accomplished since his last visit in 2011

Former NHL player Georges Laraque and Vision Mondiale Quebec Acting Director, Carolyn Hébert, on a visit to International Child Care Grace Children's Hospital in Port au Prince to view the progress made since 2011. International Child Care has successfully completed demolition and clearing of damaged hospital structures. The team is now in the process of procuring the final hospital design to allow for commencement of physical construction of permanent hospital facilities.

Haitian-Canadian Georges Laraque, is raising awareness for Hockey for Haiti, a fundraising initiative that he started in collaboration with the National Hockey League Players' Association (NHLPA) and Vision Mondiale.

Approximately 80 percent of the buildings at Grace Children's Hospital were damaged beyond repair by the 2010 earthquake, yet it continues to provide essential health care from transitional facilities that have been constructed through the support of Hockey for Haiti.  Operated by International Child Care, the hospital is one of Haiti's leading pediatric hospitals for the treatment of HIV and tuberculosis.
