MONTREAL, May 25, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Media are most welcome to attend the proceedings of the 46th annual CMOS congress, of the 21st AMS Conference on Numerical Weather Prediction and the 25th AMS Conference on Weather Analysis and Forecasting that will be held in Montreal from May 29th to June 1st 2012.
With the theme The Changing Environment and its Impact on Climate, Ocean and Weather services, this international conference with more than 600 scientists in attendance , will emphasize the importance of scientific evaluation of the changes that occur in our environment, assess their impacts and clear and effective communication.
During the opening ceremonies, the Federal Minister of the Environment, the Honourable Peter Kent (to be confirmed) and the Quebec Minister of Sustainable Development, Environment and Parks, Mr. Pierre Arcand, will address the conference attendees. Mr. David Grimes, President of the World Meteorological Organization and Assistant Deputy Minister and Head of the Meteorological Service of Canada, will be the keynote speaker of the conference,
