Media Advisory - Media Event and Photo Opportunity - South West LHIN promotes quality and innovation in health care at its second annual Quality Symposium
LONDON, ON, May 28, 2012 /CNW/ - The South West Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) is bringing together almost 500 health care providers and governors for its second annual Quality Symposium. This year's focus is "Quality and Innovation: Putting People at the Centre of their Care."
The day will feature three keynote speakers:
- Dr. Lynne Maher, the Director for Innovation and Design at the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement in the UK, will deliver the main message of the day, "Putting People at the Centre of Care."
- Dr. Daniel Sands, the Director of Healthcare and Medical Informatics with Cisco, will address "Engaging Patients through Technology."
- Dr. Patricia Moore, the President of Moore Design Associates in Arizona, will discuss "Designing a Quality Lifespan: The Challenge of Our Lives."
Another highlight of the day will be the presentation of the first annual South West LHIN Quality Awards at 9:15 am. The awards recognize organizations that have implemented a sustainable quality improvement initiative by working together to achieve performance excellence.
