Broken bones, fractures and what one hospital learned: CASTED celebrates 100th course
TORONTO, May 6, 2013 /CNW/ - With patient volumes increasing in the Emergency Department (ED), doctors must find more efficient and effective ways to manage common injuries such as broken bones and fractures. CASTED, an award-winning course from North York General, is teaching ED medical staff across Canada important tips when assessing patients as well as the fine art of casting and splinting.
CASTED will celebrate its 100th course at the Emergency Medicine Update conference on Wednesday, May 8. Media are invited to see how CASTED is changing the face of emergency medicine by giving doctors the tools to cast quickly and skillfully. Practicing with the CASTED faculty, media can also experience what ED doctors experience when treating broken bones and fractures, including the right casting and splinting techniques.
