Media Invitation - Government of Canada invests in industry-led research to develop new mineral exploration techniques

TORONTO, May 9, 2013 /CNW/ - Media representatives are advised that the Honourable Joe Oliver, Minister of Natural Resources Canada, and the Honourable Gary Goodyear, Minister of State for Science and Technology will be at Barrick Gold Corporation headquarters for the launch of a new research project developed in partnership between the mining industry, academia and government. Minister Goodyear will announce significant research investment aimed at increasing mining and mineral exploration success rates, and will be joined by executives from the industry and academic partners of the project.
