Event Advisory: Canadian NBA athlete, local kids Get Up, Fuel Up, Own Up for Healthy Me Week (June 2-8)
TORONTO, May 27, 2013 /CNW/ - On Wednesday, May 29, join Canada's Tristan Thompson (Cleveland Cavaliers), local students, media, and community groups, to launch the second annual Healthy Me Week (June 2 - 8). This national initiative that promotes healthy, active living, is led by Concerned Children's Advertisers, in partnership with media, community and sports groups. This year, Canadian families are encouraged to Get Up, Fuel Up, Own Up for the sake of their health and well-being.
What: | Launch of second annual Healthy Me Week Photo Opportunity: Elementary school students from local schools will bring the Healthy Me Week call-to-action to life by participating in several activity stations. |

Station 1: Get Up! NBA athlete Tristan Thompson, will run kids through various drills from the NBA Fit program. | |||
Station 2: Fuel Up! Kids learn how to select healthier food options and sample a healthy snack. | |||
Station 3: Own Up! While signing personal health pledge certificates, kids discuss how to get and stay motivated to make healthier choices. | |||
