Gender Mosaic celebrates 25 years of support for the transgender community of Ottawa-Gatineau Français
OTTAWA, May 27, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Gender Mosaic, Canada's oldest transgender social and support group, is celebrating its 25th anniversary on Wednesday May 29th.
This trailblazing evening of celebration - - the first of its kind in Canada - - will include families, friends and supporters of the trans community. Guest speakers will include the Chief of Police for the city of Ottawa and key politicians responsible for the introduction and passing of recent legislation in support of transgender rights.
"This historic event proves that we are accepted more than ever as part of the community and that we enjoy broad support from every segment of Canadian society," says Sophia Cassivi, President, Gender Mosaic.
The event will be held at the Travelodge Hotel and Conference Centre, Greenery Room,1376 Carling Ave. Ottawa, Ontario: from 6 to 9 pm. (speeches begin at 7 pm).
