Canadian government, business celebrate investment into local economy, global commerce

    What:     With the country having experienced its first trade deficit in
              a generation, UPS Canada is reinforcing its commitment to
              Canadian global trade with a multi-million dollar expansion of
              its GTA hub - the biggest investment of the company in Canada
              in 2009. The new facility will allow UPS to increase its
              capacity, filling a critical need in Canada's export market.
              The facility will generate new jobs in Vaughan, further
              reinforcing UPS's position as the second largest employer in
              the city. The opening of the new facility in early December
              will also allow UPS to better manage the anticipated boom in
              holiday shipping.

              UPS Chairman, other global executives and federal, local and
              regional dignitaries will be present to celebrate the opening
              of the expanded facility and speak about the increasingly
              urgent need to bolster Canada's involvement in global trade.
