Experts to Gather in Winnipeg to Explore Evolving Human Rights Challenges Faced by Generations: November 18-20
MONTREAL, Nov. 3 /CNW/ - On November 18, 2010, a remarkable group of Canadian and international experts will gather in Winnipeg to tackle the subject of human rights and dignity from new, action-oriented perspectives at the 7th annual conference on public policy of the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation. Attendees will include judges, researchers, advocates, scholars, writers, current and former elected officials and other thought-leaders from diverse backgrounds who are interested in sharing ideas.
WHAT: | 7th Annual Trudeau Conference — Equal in Dignity: Human Rights and the Passage of Generations. The event format will include keynote speeches, panel discussions, and dialogue sessions with renowned specialists on critical issues. Topics related to human rights include the Charter, the feminist legacy, sexual diversity, responsibilities for the past, religion, First Nations, and demography. The conference will also discuss insight gathered from a new poll on Canadian attitudes and opinions on human rights and dignity. |
